Questions and answers regarding fraud and security

If you have been scammed, or suspect that you have been scammed, you can report it by calling us on 08-402 57 10, around the clock. We may need to block your Mobile BankID and card.

If you notice something that does not follow the normal pattern in the app or netbank, log out immediately and call 08-402 57 10. The same applies if you discover account transactions that you have not made yourself.

If you have been scammed, you should always report it to the police either by calling 114 14, or by visiting polisen.se or your local police station.

Tillval Försiktig is a service for you or a family member who wants to be extra careful. It makes your money less accessible to scammers:

• You get a Sparkonto Extra with a withdrawal delay, which makes fraud more difficult. 
• The daily transfer limit on your accounts is reduced. 
• You can only transfer money to recipients in Sweden. 
• The settings for your cards will change so they can only be used for purchases in the Nordic region. 
• You will receive newsletters with tips to help you stay one step ahead of the scammers. 

There are a few things you should keep in mind. First of all, remember that we will never contact you and ask you to use your NordeaID device or Mobile BankID by phone, e-mail or text message. We also never ask you to provide other sensitive information. Use your common sense and stay one step ahead of the scammers by: 

• Always questioning if what you’re asked to do is reasonable, and how you were contacted. As a rule, never transfer money or use your BankID or bank device at the request of someone else. 
• Memorize your banking codes. 
• Never reveal your personal codes and your account or card details, such as card numbers, CVC/CVV codes and PIN codes. 
• When someone unknown calls, check that the person is who they say they are. If you become suspicious, hang up the phone and call the bank’s or company’s customer service yourself. Hang up the phone if the person you are talking to offers to connect you to your bank. 
• Never install any remote access or security software on your device at the direction of someone else. Scammers sometimes call them support software.
