Questions and answers on payments and transfers

 You go to Payments & transfers in the menu. If you have saved the recipient you can select it in the dropdown menu where it says “To”, otherwise fill in the Plusgiro or Bankgiro number in the Account number field.

You go to Payments & transfers in the menu. When you’ve filled in the recipient’s account number, select Payment type: Salary.

You can send Plusgiro and Bankgiro money orders to us to have the money deposited, free of charge, into your own Nordea account. Depositing it into an account at another bank can be done through “Kassagiro” (Cashgiro) agents.

This is how to redeem it at Nordea:

Write your account number clearly on the front of the money order. For security reasons, do not sign it on the back. Then, send the money order in a stamped envelope to the address below. The money is usually deposited into your account within 2–4 weekdays.

Note that you cannot send in foreign cheques.

When you’re logged into Nordea Business, you can find our cut-off times by selecting Payments in the menu at the top. Then, select “Payments & transfers”, or “International payments” and you’ll see the different cut-off times in the box to the right.

Domestic payments need to be signed by the times listed below, if you want the receiver to get access to the funds on the same day:

• Plusgiro – 4.30 p.m.
• Bankgiro – 09.15 a.m. 
• Transfer within Nordea – 4.30 p.m.
• Transfer to an account in another bank – 12.15 p.m.

The payment types Salary or Pension need to be signed no later than 11.30 p.m. on the day before the entry date (two business days before the day when the receiver gets access to the funds)

International payments within the EU/EEA need to be signed by 3.00 p.m. to reach the receiver the next day, and international payments outside the EU/EEA must be signed by 2.30 p.m. to arrive on the second day after signing. 

Express payments are an exception – they must be signed by 1.15 p.m. for the payment to reach the receiver on the next day.

Fill in the clearing number and account number, which can be between 11 and 15 digits. Do not enter any dashes (-) or full stops (.)

Transferring money in Nordea Business is simple. 

For users of the Nordea Business:

If the transfer is signed before 14.00 on a business day, the recipient receives the money on the same day. Transfers signed after 14.00 are available to the recipient on the following business day.

Business days are all weekdays apart from public holidays, Midsummer’s Eve, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

To send e-invoices to your customers, you need to connect to E-invoice Issuer.

Direct debit is suitable for companies and associations that have recurring payments from a fixed customer base and an accounting system that can process files in direct debit format.

Corporate Access Lite is a file-based service, that will automate your company’s payment and reconciliation processes through integration with your ERP system. The service allows for fully automated back-reporting, ticking off and reconciliation of your files.

To see upcoming payments that you have signed through Corporate Access Lite, you need to go to Manage payment files, which you will find through Payments in the menu.

This is done through our Corporate Access Lite service. You can apply for the service here in Nordea Business. 

Within 1–3 business days, we will send you an agreement that you need to sign digitally. Once the agreement is signed, you will be notified via Nordea Business that your connection is active.

As of 30 September, you will no longer be able to download PO3/XML files manually in Fortnox and then upload them using Nordea Business File Import.

Instead of the manual transfer of payment files, we offer you full integration with Fortnox through our service Corporate Access Lite. Payments created in Fortnox are automatically transferred to Nordea Business, and the reporting from Nordea Business is in turn automatically transferred to Fortnox.

If your ERP system doesn’t support integration with Nordea via Corporate Access Lite, we can offer you Nordea Business File Management. This service allows you to automate your payment and reconciliation process. 

We support these file formats:

• ISO 20022 XML (PAIN.001)
  
• BGlön (KI-lön)
  
• PO3 Corporate File payments

When you’re logged into Nordea Business, you can see whether your supplier offers e-invoice.

At the bottom of the E-faktura Företag page, select Open E-faktura Företag. The page opens in a new window, so deactivate any pop-up blockers first.

Click on “Search supplier”. Enter the name of the company followed by the character *, for example: Telenor*. If you get a hit, click on “Register” and you’re then registered for e-invoice.

From the E-faktura Företag page, you can also open your previous invoices. Under Invoice history, click on Open E-faktura Företag. The page opens in a new window, so deactivate any pop-up blockers first.

To send e-invoices to your customers, you need to connect to E-invoice Issuer.

You need to contact the payee to change your direct debit amount. 

To terminate a direct debit, in the first instance you need to contact the payee, since the direct debit arrangement is an agreement between you and the payee. 

We can help you terminate the authorisation (the easiest way is to chat with us), but after that you need to contact the payee to terminate the agreement.

You register directly with the payee company that you want to draw money automatically from your account. This is done over the payee’s website or by using a paper authorisation form. 

Usually, you need the full bank account number, including the clearing number. To find you bank account number you need to go the account to be used for payments, and you’ll find the full bank account number, including the clearing number, by clicking on Show account detalis.

You make a international payment by going to Payments in the menu.

The information usually needed is: the recipient’s name and address, account number (in IBAN format, for countries that have introduced IBAN) and the BIC/Swift of the receiving bank.

If you don’t know the bank's BIC address, enter the bank’s name and address and, in some cases, also a bank code.

The information that you usually need to provide to accept money from abroad is IBAN and BIC/Swift.

Go to the account concerned and click on Show account details.

If you are an authorised signatory, you can easily do this by contacting our customer service on 0771-350 360. During the call we will ask you to verify your identity using Mobile BankID and we also need to ask you some questions regarding international payments. 

Once the service has been activated, your Nordea Business administrator can add the service for those users who need to make international payments. This is done under Manage users.

If you are an authorised signatory and have activated the service international payments, your Nordea Business administrator can add international payments for the relevant employees under Manage users.

If you’ve made a transaction to the wrong recipient, in the first instance contact the recipient of the money. If you don’t know who the recipient is, you’re welcome to contact us. The easiest way is to chat with us.
